It has to do with two things. The fact that anti-Semites in the far-right hate Israel and Zionism, and German guilt.

That is what leads them to their position of supporting Israel. Remember that they are called "Anti-Germans". Their position isn't simply based on being German Zionists, it's based on a certain worldview particular to them being German.

It is true that the German nationalist far-right with parties like the NDP is growing and that is disturbing. So the anti-Germans do no favors in fighting fascism when they act like loons.

The left will never attract support if it goes around yelling "Down with Germany", hailing the Dresden bombings, and refusing to look critically at Israel's crimes against humanity. This is why it is important for the German left to reject anti-German ideology.
