Well I'm here in South Florida surrounded by lovely Cuban Exiles:D.
I basically grew up with having a leftist Father(communist), so I have regularly had the other side of the story told when any news would be on the radio or T.V.
I haven't found that much going on around here dealing with the real left other than a weekly forum at a book store which only brings in a few old people(the same few every time). I hope to find more contacts here on the site.
I'm still learning and currently reading the Communist Manifesto after years of having it in my house. Also on my reading list are: Malcolm X Black Liberation & the Road to Workers Power by Jack Barnes; Understanding History Marxist Essays by George Novack; and A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.
I'm attending my second year at a community college. There's not much going on there either other than the bible club set up with their prayer station:thumbdown: and the occasional blood-donating bus.
I would like to say hi and I hope to learn a lot from this site that I gladly found. I'm looking forward to have some good discussions with you all. :thumbup1:
