First off, I didn't know where this would go so I apologize if it is in the wrong place.

Second. How are all of my good comrades doing? :D I've been away for a while.

So a friend and I are trying to get a "group" or "collective" started to help teach kids of our youth about political ideologies and philosophical ideologies. We are not focusing on one main point of view, we just want to teach all that we can so that maybe the youth of our generation can open their eyes a bit and think for themselves instead of letting MTV tell them what to think.

My question is: How or what would be a good way to get out there to the public?

Start a reading group and since you are in North America advertise about it on craigslist.

You should also seriously rethink your organization's purpose. The best teaching is when the students teach themselves. Note that NO ONE wants to be lectured to - they put up with it at schools because there is the employment prospect at the end of the tunnel. You and your buddies offer no such prospects. Since you are not selling snake oil, no matter how snazzy a presentation you give no one will come. At least no one who hasn't made up their minds already.

If you are at a school, open a booth at the activities fair at the beginning of the school year along side the school newspaper and the campus future business leaders club and the checkers club.
