I'm in need of some good sources and education on this. I'm sure there is a lot of stuff like that around here, but most of the things I see pertain to Cuban democracy rather than the rights/condition of the people themselves.

I don't consider Cuba socialist from a Marxist-Leninist perspective, but nonetheless it should be defended against from baseless claims. I've also heard that in the war on 'terrorism,' the US is responsible for many human rights violations in Cuba. Also, I know that human rights as a subject is rather liberal in a sense, but still.
