Farabundo Marti

My name is Farabundo Marti and I'm a college student out here in Southern California. My mama is from El Salvador who grew up very poor and fled to the US during the war (got deported once). My dad is from Mexico and came to the US at age 18 with just a few clothes and a few dollars.
I grew up in South Central Los Angeles and pretty much seen young kids' lives go down the drain. Some in jail, hooked on drugs, joined gangs, etc. We all know what happens to young ignorant individuals with guns, knives, drugs, and spray cans. I wish this can change soon.
Anyway, I'm studying biology at the university because my dream is to one day become a doctor and serve the area where I grew up as well as the areas where my parents are from. This is the reason I'm working my ass off in school (but I'm lazy now because it's summer!). I have a few books on the Revolutionary Left in Central America that I'm going to read over my vacation and get some other things going.
I'm not much of a poster, but I might lurk from time to time and maybe post here and there. Thanks. :)
