What card games can you play? Which one is your favourite?

[I'm asking because, after some avuncular (http://www.revleft.com/vb/having-uncles-t134397/index.html) inspiration, I like to see if Canasta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canasta) can give Big Two (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Two) and Blackjack a run for card entertainment value.]

Big Two is great... I'm pretty sure every Chinese person I know played it in high school.

I'm really bad at poker, but it's still strangely alluring.

7 card stud is my favorite, but I'm best at blackjack and texas hold em.

I think we went to the same high school.

I like Go Fish, because its the only card game I don't forget the rules to.

Rummy. Greatest card game ever. It's all we played when we're fishing.

That's a really popular one with fishermen in my town, too. Some people carve cribbage boards out of wood, or even ivory.

I learned to play when I was working at the library many, many years ago. The binders played every lunchtime for an hour solid. They had a really nice mahogany board with ivory pegs. I played every day, five days a week, for nine months straight ... until I was laid off.

I like most of the poker variants. Apart from NLHE, my favourites are probably Pot Limit Omaha or Stud Hi-Lo.

Whist, Rummy, and Cribbage are pretty much my favourites. I suck so hard at every varient of poker I've turned my hand to it's just not funny.
