I stumbled on this video in which Mike Macnair and Moshé Mashover explain democracy. Mike explains what the shortages of our current existing "democracy" are that exist in many western countries. Moshé explores how democracy looks like under communism. Enjoy.

How old is this video? It obviously hasn't come up in my Google searches.

EDIT: Oops, never mind.

I liked what he had to say about the Judiciary being corrupt. Does anyone have any more sources on that which I could check out?

Not specifically on the judiciary being corrupt, but hitting on the topic of democracy is this article (http://cpgb.org.uk/article.php?article_id=1003960).

As communists, we should be extremely critical of democracy and what exactly that definition entails. Bourgeois democracy has it that all opinions are valid and equal, the rich's more so than anyone else's. Democracy as a term has been so evacuated of content, to borrow Noam Chomsky, that it has been used in the most malevolent of ways.

Therefore, I stand against democracy.

Absolutely agreed! So far, so good...

Yes, that is why BOURGOIS democracy is, in essence, fraudulent. But does that apply to ALL forms of democracy?

Democracy as a term has been so evacuated of content, to borrow Noam Chomsky, that it has been used in the most malevolent of ways.

Yes, as a TERM maybe. Yes, it has been used in the most malevolent ways, i.e. abused. The same applies to communism as a TERM. Does that mean that there is no valid, supportable CONTENT to the word 'communism'? If no, why call yourself communist? if yes, why does'nt the same apply to democracy as a term?

Therefore, I stand against democracy.

That conclusion does not follow at all.
