And to think this dumb ***** couldn’t get any dumber. Sadly, I was wrong…Now excuse me while I go bash my head across my wall, because it’s the only thing I can think of doing to relieve the pain from reading this article, let alone reposting it.

Sarah Palin Blames Environmentalists For Gulf Oil Disaster -
06- 3-10

In her latest note on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/notes/sarah-palin/extreme-enviros-drill-baby-drill-in-anwr-now-do-you-get-it/395324638434), Sarah Palin is blaming “extreme ‘environmentalists’” for causing the gulf oil disaster that has been unfolding for over a month. Her logic is that because environmentalists push for tougher drilling regulations onshore in places like the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (also known as ANWR) it forces oil companies to explore deeper offshore drilling which has more risks.

Palin writes:

With [environmentalists'] nonsensical efforts to lock up safer drilling areas, all you’re doing is outsourcing energy development, which makes us more controlled by foreign countries, less safe, and less prosperous on a dirtier planet. Your hypocrisy is showing. You’re not preventing environmental hazards; you’re outsourcing them and making drilling more dangerous.

Extreme deep water drilling is not the preferred choice to meet our country’s energy needs, but your protests and lawsuits and lies about onshore and shallow water drilling have locked up safer areas. It’s catching up with you. The tragic, unprecedented deep water Gulf oil spill proves it.

This is one of several comments about the oil spill Palin has made that has caused a stir, including a tweet (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/05/05/gulf-oil-spill-palin-camp_n_564407.html) in which she said we said we shouldn’t trust BP because it is a foreign oil company. Palin’s husband Todd worked for BP for 18 years.

Utterly ridiculous. She's downright playing dirty, trying to get people riled up, that's all the woman does. I'm sure she'd love to see some hate crimes go down due to the shit she spouts off as commentary. It really is nerve-wracking to know that people actually agree with this woman, which is kind of a disservice to intelligent women everywhere.

I think it's obvious the only thing left to do with Palin is to shove her into a corner and forget about her.

I read an "Libertarian"/Objectivist make a similar claim on another forum.

It's along the same lines- "stupid" environmentalists demanding restrictions on off-shore drilling to preserve environment forcing oil companies to go to deep-sea drilling.

She's trying to justify her whole "Drill Baby Drill" approach which she fears may make people think that she's all for oil companies doing what ever the hell they wish.

¿Que?

It's hard to laugh at things like this after it becomes completely apparent to you that people like this have more influence than any of us. :bored:

My thoughts EXACTLY.

How Glenn Beck has a show and I don't have an equal show for the Left wing is BEYOND ME.

Seriously, I would make an awesome Left-wing Glenn Beck.

Let me get this argument straight. So if oil companies were allowed to go rough shot in Alaska and do whatever the hell they want there, they could screw up that state like with Exxon Valdez instead of the Gulf of Mexico. Thus saving the turtles and the nice beaches in the Gulf. Save the Gulf by fucking the arctic. Am I right?

I don't know man, I'm starting to think perhaps the world really is doomed. :( How come nothing ever actually gets better? When was the last time we actually heard some good news?
