So my question is about Moldova, I learned short ago that Moldova was communist,(yeah shame on me), and elected in a democratic way, but:
-In how far is the PCRM Communist

-Why are they so poor(I red something about some problem with wine export, which was 80% of their economie)

Thanks comrades

It's a social-democratic party like the CPUSA and such. It isn't communist.

As for Moldova itself, from what I understand it was pretty badly hit when the USSR broke up. It was basically a poor region of the Russian Empire, which was turned into a poor region of the Romanian Kingdom (which the Bolsheviks refused to diplomatically recognize as legit from Lenin onwards), which was then turned into its own autonomous Soviet Republic in 1940 within the USSR (the Moldavian SSR). After the 1960's the Union Republics became increasingly unequal in terms of aid given to them (most was given to the Russian SFSR and Baltic SSRs), so I guess Moldavia became relatively ignored. It didn't really seem like a Soviet Republic that could stand on its own, but then again Turkmenistan is doing pretty well.

Also Moldova is apparently still considered Romanian land by Romanian nationalists, who insist that Moldovans are Romanians (whereas the Moldovans generally insist that they aren't).

I'm a Romanian (living in the other half of the historical region of Moldova, 10 km from the border to the Republlic of Moldova) and this is how I see things there:
-The Party of Moldavian Communists (this is how it's actually called) is a moderate left party on paper, but most of it's influent members are of Russian origin, immigrants that came here as part of USSR's politics of severing it's relations with Romania.
Don't get your hopes high about real communism in Moldova, or Romania.
-I'm not exactly a nationalist but I think most of Moldavians( the Romanian speaking ones) are actually Romanian. Although the official language of Moldova is "Moldavian" it's actually the same language, besides the fact that the citizens of Russian origin write using Cyrillic characters or use only Russian. Some actually want to become a part of Romania ( as I said, the Romanian speaking ones), and this can be observed through graffiti and posters using the slogan "Moldova, pamant romanesc" (Moldova, Romanian land).

A movement for the unification of Romania and Moldova began in both countries after the 1989 Romanian Revolution and the glasnost policy in the Soviet Union, advocating the peaceful integration of the two states. Individuals supporting the movement are called "Unionişti" (Unionists). In Moldova, those against the movement are called "Moldovenişti" (Moldovenists).[13] Unionist organizations in Romanian and in Moldovan civil society include "Noii Golani" (The New Hooligans), [14] "Deşteptarea" (The Awakening),[15] or the movement "Basarabia - Pămānt Romānesc" (Bessarabia - Romanian Land).[16]
