Well?
I always thought it to be Fri - Sun, but I've been told otherwise.

To elaborate, I mean like... Friday after school/work (assuming a "normal hours" job) until Sunday 11:59PM

Friday night, the entirety of Saturday, and possibly Sunday, although when I was in school (elementary, middle and high school) I never really considered Sunday to be a valuable part of my weekend...it was always "work day".
"Weekend" is a bourgeois concept that implies leisure time from drudgery that the proletariat face
lol. Without the IWW we probably wouldn't know the term in the first place.

All of Saturday and Sunday. Friday night is valuable but not part of the actual weekend.

Gah. I voted "Saturday + Sunday", but given this clarification, I would probably change my answer to "Friday - Sunday".

Isn't Sunday technically the first day of a new week?

I think of the weekend as approximately the time from Smallville until True Blood, but I'm a TV addict.

Weekend, I'd say, is Sat-Sun. Where this concept is understood as "leisure time", of course, it only applies to white collar workers.

Saturday and Sunday, most people don't work or have school on these days. I don't consider Friday a part of the weekend because, well, half of the day is usually spent fucking around in school or a shitty job.

i dont have fixed weekends because my asshole of an employer has me on a flexible contract meaning my days off can be any day of the week and not necessarilly back to back.
