View Full Version : Trolling Advice

OK.
if you think trolling is childish and a waste of time. This thread is not for you. Although you're probably right.
In any case, I've never seriously trolled. I've written some things on some websites, but I think fundamentally, if the troll takes himself to seriously, then he will inevitably FAIL. I did.
So, are there any professional trolls here that would like to share some wisdom and examples of their work.
Thank you!

Trolling is an art one must build on throughout the duration of their internet life. One must be born with troll in them, or it will be a very difficult journey indeed. One must know the proper balance between "hello" and "goodbye". One has to master the art of spam while incorporating uselessness. One has to be the one with the troll post. Alas I am no troll on revleft.
Why do you want advice on trolling?

Trolling is definitely an art. Some of the best trolls are great precisely because they produce so much disdain in people. The celebrated troll misses the point. I guess I see it as a (quite pathetic) act of resistance. I was watching a video on racists, and I sort of wanted to do something about it, even if it was only raising some fascist's blood pressure a little.

never put effort into trolling. all it takes is one person seeing through you and hours of work/thought can be undone. just slap together some nonsensical phrases chosen to offend amnd maybe an image hastily edited in paint. post it and move on. you will get a few bites no something if you throw enough crap out there and in the meantime the sheer volume of troll posts/threads you are vomiting onto the fora is itself a troll.

Trolling is definitely a waste of time and only 'hilarious' if you're fourteen and have no friends.

I find politics trolling kinda lame. Seeing people trll and hate each other over smaller things such as video games is funnier. :D

Unfortunately, the best person to help you out (which doctor) got banned recently; he would have been the guy to ask.

I think people are being mistaken as to what trolling is. It's not just people posting stupid stuff and getting other people pissed off, it's when someone intentionally upholds/claims false/stupid things for the sole purpose of emotionally winding people up.
It's not something you learn.
It's a way of life.
