If you guys had taken London, Paris, and Constantinople (as almost happened), outlawed Christianity, and not colonized America, we'd be much closer to socialism. Or at the very least, the world would be a more interesting place.

We had London at one point, but even we couldn't stand the French enough to keep Paris after we sacked it. :tongue_smilie:

I'd be cool with outlawing Christianity. They converted the Vikings from their own religion at the point of a sword.

I still like the idea of Viking colonisation of North America, mostly because we were probably the only white people who wouldn't have killed Natives and stolen their land. We'd have fought them at first, but once we realised they had no gold or silver... we'd probably have just set up towns and traded with them. I mean, the booty is why we attacked people.

Saying this as a real-life practitioner of that religion.... He can be at times. But it's always rewarding!

please keep "the viking says" routine for chitchat and out of the serious fora, consider this an verbal warning otherwise the mods and admins will slap the viking with infractions wich might get the viking banned.
