View Full Version : What's with the sudden influx of EDL members?
EDL_in_peace probably started a trend over at Stormfront or something, but that's just my theory. What's yours?

They were talking about us on the EDL forum, EDL in peace called the cavalry in.
There is talk of socks on their fourm, but from what i can gather (cross checking names) they have all been legit.
Ah, right. Sockpuppets. Forgot about them.

Wouldn't have happened if we just banned EDL members outright.
We should have, by the way.

Why sam? Do you think they are facists? Or that the no platform policy applies for xenophobes aswell?

Its pretty simple if you look at the forum rules. Racism is not tolerated here. The very basis behind the EDL is intolerance, xenophobia, and racism.

I noticed that you sam, didn't get involved with the debate.
It did make me think about the UAF and how no one appreciates the work it does.
Is it just a group of middle class students trying to rebel or is it a legitimate working class movement?

EDL? It seems to grassroots is very, very much made up of working-class guys.
Lovely Louis Wain avatar btw.

I made at least ten posts in the EDL thread in OI so I have no idea what you're on about.

It is neither of these things.

Well we definately agree there. However my dislike of the UAF has been expressed elsewhere so I'm not gonna bring it up in chit chat.

A movement that unites on an explicitly racial and/or national basis is not a working class movement.

Go to the anti fascism forum and you will find plenty of examples. I actually have respect for some members of the SWP and have met members of UAF who were clearly a little more clued up (including one who claimed to be former AFA.. not inconcievable since it some part of AFA's history is its dismisal from). It just the bulk of my experinces of most of both organisations have been negative. So don't take any of my attacks too personal.
