Ok, so i want to go to this caravan my uncle/ Dad have from years back, but my mum said i probably won't be allowed because i called my uncle enoch powell, because he constantly calls black people niggers etc.

Apparently , i was rude for calling him that, and telling him to stop using the word, i am being an arse according to my mum.

Thisshit has pissed me off, i cannot believe it, if he uses that language infront of me again, i swear, i am going to fucking knock fuck out of him.

If i had somewhere to go i would wash my hands of this fucking family right now.

Anyone experienced this before?

My mum has fucking really dissapointed me, she acts all leftist, yet she apparently thinks ignoring racial hatred in order to go to a caravan is the right thing to do.

Just don't hang out with your uncle. There're too many people like that for you to correct individually.

With my relatives, if they are reasonable (thank Marx they often are) I'd correct them calmly and maybe have a debate. If not, I just leave them alone.

Have you actually challenged your uncle on it? And by that I mean asked him to explain why he has a problem with black people, rather than just telling him you don't like it. Of course, most if not all racists are incapable of rationally justifying their position, but it might be worth a shot.

This kind of thing is always frustrating, and it's disgusting to see that kind of attitude. While it's commendable to want to denounce it, it might not be worth it in this particular case. You're unlikely to change your uncle's mind, and it'll be a lot more trouble to you in the long run if this keeps causing discord between you and your family.
