Anyone into earning money online?

I wasn't sure where this should go. I recently started getting interested in making money online. I'm not very good at it this far. Been doing some article writing, going to work on some blogs.

Any experts I can leech knowledge from here? I am on other forums related to this, but if I can talk to leftists it's more fun.

For the last eleven years I made an income with affiliate program web sites, with a peak of about $26,000 per year for three years, and that was supplemental to my wife's job which pays better. The income gradually ramped up over the years, peaked, and then it ramped right back down again. My problem was that I was at the mercy of the ever-changing formula for Google page rank. In November-December of one year, just by coincidence, Google put me on page one for searches for the toy Tekno the Robotic Puppy, so thousands of Christmas shoppers followed my affiliate link to buy a Tekno. In another year, in the weeks before halloween, Google happened to put one of my affiliate pages on page one for searches for clown costumes. It was a sequence of luck factor like that.

Now I would like to phase out the affiliate programs, and convert it all to an eBay drop ship operation, so I have performed some of the technical things like getting the state certificate to collect sales tax. But now I am finding it very difficult to find drop ship wholesale distributors who aren't scams.
