Marxist Articles on Welfare State Reform

Hello everyone,

For my Political Analysis class I have to write a paper on Welfare State Reform. I would like to write a paper from a Marxist perspective, however Marxism has been largely overlooked within the class.

My question to everyone is if they know any Marxist scientific authors who have written on the Welfare State and specifically on Welfare State Reform. Or even better: specific articles on the subject. Articles from non-scientific journals will not be accepted as sources by the professor.
