I remember hearing songs on a cassette tape distributed by the Marxist-
Leninist party of Canada in the very early 80's.
It was from a party member who ran as a candidate for them in the federal
election here in my province.
Some of the songs,I recall from memory,include..."Rene Levesque don't wear
his specs"..."The party is the most precious thing"...and "Oh Albania!Red star
that burns bright"...and that's wear my recollection turns foggy!
If anyone knows what I'm talking about or how I might go about locating
some of this music it would be greatly appreciated.
I would describe the music as 'folkish',acoustic guitars etc, nothing too glitzy.
Anyone who might be associated with the Canadian Marxist-Leninists or
CPC(M-L) may be be my only hope of ever hearing these great songs again.
So if anyone here on RevLeft can help out or point me in the right direction
it'd be super.
