And a genuine weirdo. Apparently, he was a life-long Republican till 2008, when he voted for Obama.
Catch his performance at the crazy photographer in Apocolypse Now or as the fugitive ex-hippy radical in Flashback.

Amen, Blue Velvet was his finest performance in my opinion.
Easy Rider next. So many though, Rumble Fish and Apocalypse Now spring to mind.

Yes those are all great. "Flashback" is a very entertaining little film.
Some other superb Hopper performances...
"Rivers Edge" (inflatable girlfriend lol)
"Out Of The Blue" (also directed, underrated)
"Night Tide"
"The Spreading Ground"
"Mad Dog Morgan"
"The Crow: Wicked Prayer" (crap movie, but Hopper is hilarious)
...on and on.

I guess Gary Coleman died a few days ago, also.

All Gary Coleman wanted was a normal life. Not a life drowned by his past. I feel so sorry for him, but at least that's all over now & he can finally rest peacefully.
R.I.P. Gary!
