I would like to try and develop a comprehensive D.I.Y. learning plan for those interested in Socialism. I would like to be able to read the most important classic books, as well modern day critiques of capitalism. I think there are a couple that can easily be placed at the top of the list. These include The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith and The Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels but I would also like to be able to discuss these works in detail with fellow learners.

What other books should I be reading?

P.S. I am particularly interested in Anarchism. Any suggestions on good reading material for this?

Anarchist FAQ is a good place to start for Anarchy if you haven't read it already.

I have, but I'm looking for something a little more in depth.

Emma Goldman was my inspiration to look into anarchism and I never looked back.

"The only demand that property recognizes is its own gluttonous appetite for greater wealth, because wealth means power; the power to subdue, to crush, to exploit, the power to enslave, to outrage, to degrade."

--- Emma Goldman Anarchism and Other Essays
