The Shining Path was a name created by Peruvian & pro-Western media, which represents those of the PCP or also known as the Sendero Luminoso. And ever since Chairman Guzman was captured, there was a faction split that took place between the Sendero's. One is led by (I forget the name) a respected rebel & are still training in the forests, & then there's the revisionist faction led by a man named Viktor who has led his faction to kill not just police but peasant villages as well, & has also been working with the drug trade, which goes against the party line of the PCP. It's also best to know that Viktor was never a true PCP member, & was actually denied entry by Guzman, himself.

Here is a documentary done on Sendero Luminoso almost a year ago..

It's in spanish though so I have no idea if it's good or completely reactionary. Judging by the translation, it's the latter.

This is video coverage of those that was once led by Viktor, & now apparently by someone calling themselves Comrade Joseph. But you can tell how far they're going by letting children arm up & fight with them. At least the original Sendero's restricted of such, as do the UCPN-M & the CPI-M. If one wants to see the true Sendero's of today, then here's a video of them on May 1st of this year:

Who's interested in forming a support group for the PCP and Presidente Gonzalo? Please no ignorant responses, please be polite. If you don't like Presidente Gonzalo, don't reply or if you do reply politely. Thank you.

Why revisionist? Why dogmatic?

Why revisionist? Why dogmatic?

Well, the faction led by Comrade Artemio is acting according to the present material conditions in Peru, and not dogmatically as the faction led by the narco-comrade viktor is doing. Remember that is anti-marxist and anti-communist to struggle without a leadership. You need political guidance and direction. Therefore the other faction that upholds Presidente Gonzalo and want to continue the peoples war are falling into revisionism.

The present conditions are not for an armed struggle, but instead an ideological struggle. The people's war has not ended though, the people's war is on until revolution and onwards towards communism. But the methodology has changed from armed to ideological.

Do either faction have any connection to the RCP-USA?

Do either faction have any connection to the RCP-USA?

No, none of them do. The revisionist one, which is being led by both Joseph & Raul, are right now in a position where not even the original Sendero's support them, because of their blatant revisionism & disconnection with the code set forth originally by the PCP. The one that is being led by Comrade Artemio is right now trying to continue any possible peace talks between them & the government, but so far no luck.

Werent the PCP and the RCP-USA close back in the day? What happened to that? Is the RCP connected with any other parties internationally at the moment?

The Vegan Marxist

The RCP connected with the PCP through RIM during the 90's, but since Chairman Gonzalo was captured, & of course the faction split that led afterwards, the support by the RCP didn't last to the 21st century. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the RCP broke away from the Sendero's by 95.

Yes if my memory serves me right..."Once the red flag of revolution has been raised it can never be lowered.."...They were fond of that quote.

Wouldn't surprise me too much, given that MIM, & the group that was developed after they disbanded, M-TW, are revisionist themselves.
