Hello, everyone!
I'm never sure how to make introductions, so please bear with me. For the past year, I've been living in an area where it's not acceptable to hold left-of-center political views, let alone radical feminist ideals. I guess loneliness for like-minded conversation is what motivated me to (finally) make an account here.
So, what is there to say about myself? I'm a nursing student and a lobbyist for a few non-partisan feminist organizations (Senator Casey's aides all know my name and probably hate me). My "pet" projects are women's health and reproductive justice. Being a feminist - and an increasingly radical one at that - has caused me to abandon the Democratic party and move more and more towards the left. I am roughly 99% sure I'm going to change my affiliation to SPUSA in the imminent future. Hopefully the registrar won't burn me at the stake when I do so. Other interests of mine include African art, DIY clothing and accessories, bellydance, the LGBT rights movement, first-wave punk rock, secular humanism, and organic gardening.
I'm a very curious person, so I'll probably ask you guys a whole mess of questions about... everything. Again, please bear with me!
