I my self am not apart of any organization and was wondering what can people do to help but dont belong to an organization. I haven't found an organization that fits for me yet, and i am sure there are others who aren't in an organization yet still wants to participate in helping the left.

Agitate.

Identify grievances held by co-workers, friends, and acquaintances and direct them into appropriate channels.

You will find that organization is inevitable; either you will join up with an existing organization (at least on an ad hoc basis) or else start your own. There's no other way. But for now, just talking to people and doing your best to get them fired up is a start.

Unions, parties that sort of stuff.

Ideally we would have one party of the working class, sadly we do not and instead face towards a splintered left up to and including pseudo-religious cults. Only join one if you think it has something of value for you, be that information, materials, campaigns, etc. Whatever helps in developing your activity.

Before you join you can test out waters to see if you can freely discuss your ideas, raise criticisms on their theory, etc. The reactions to those are telling. The "true Bolsheviks" having the "correct line" are generally those you want to avoid.

I agree with c-de The Gallant Gallstone here. You can agitate, educate yourself, clarify causes of social problems to people. And I think you can cooperate with a certain organisation as a supporter, without full joining. I know many people who for example don't join us but help us enough strong.
And that's right, finally you'll have to choose the organisation(s?) or to start your own  if all others are really bad. Because only a big force can change the world and it must be only organised in certain direction to do this... :)

Like Gallant said, talk to people you know about socialist ideas. Start getting people riled up. Agitate in general. Go to demonstrations and talk to people, learn more about the different issues and organizations.

Meetings are free and generally open to the public.

Public meetings, yes. Organisational meetings not so much. Sadly.

I'd follow the Idler here and try to find out about meetings in your area. You should be able to tell pretty rapidly if organisations are going to be people you can work with - I wouldn't worry about joining anyone at the moment, just finding people who seem like you can go part of the way with them is probably enough. Just, remember to run away if they're mad and scary. :thumbup1:

The only meetings you might struggle to find are anarchists and antifascists which are secret. But if you ask around they will consider inviting you. If you don't like organisation you'll love anarchists.

If branches are small enough, they'll sometimes let members of the public attend organisational meetings.

Not all anarchist groups have closed meetings. That would only be for planning direct actions.

And internal things which only concern members of the organisation.
But yes, anarchists often have public meeting and allow none members to come to meetings.
