View Full Version : How much of the analysis of the Greek Crisis is socialist?

Maybe I am just watching too many obscure sources like Russia Today, You Tube Vids and what not, but most of the analysis and opinions seem to be coming from right libertarians and the yahoos on Alex Jones yapping about the crisis stemming from not only greedy bankers but also from social spending. Also, free lance journalists commenting on the crisis are also right-libertarians. Nearly the whole of youtube is right libertarian when you look up videos on the Greek Riots.

The mainstream media is parroting a more centrist line that basically puts the blame on the social spending and the "pampered" Greek workers.

I have yet to read something from Monthly Review and I've only read one article from Marxism.com.

Is there anything else out there amidst the sea of right libertarian, reactionary and liberal junk?

Have you tried Counter Punch? Michael Hudson wrote a recent article there.

How the hell did the freaks from Alex Jones get out into what I assume is the mainstream, like George Celente, Stephan Moore, Max Keiser, etc? All appearing on Al Jezeera, Glenn Beck, Russia Today, Fox, etc. Weird.

The right libertarian NWO overload on the internet is really pissing me off. Are they all programmers or something?
