I spoke to some shop owner today about the election, she said she was voting Conservative, she wanted "change" and said Labour has given all these benefits to somalians and eastern europeans who come over here and don't want to work. I said that both the parties cultivate that view because it is just trying to play working people off against each other, we need unity in our communities against the real enemy, the rich. She didn't care for what I said so I left shortly after, dejected.

Yes, I found it hilarious that a conservative party used the slogan VOTE FOR CHANGE. But the average voter is so freakin dumb :(

but to be honest that kind of stuck up pettybourgeois racist isnt likely to be won over anyway.. workers can be racist but are more often won over because they are so alienated from the system, wheras a shop owner is not. she has her shop, the prol has nothing to lose, so the prol is more open to anticapitalist ideas
