3, but i ususally try to keep it below 6-8 because tabs start getting all jumbled and hard to figure out whats what, by then, ill open a new window and put relevant stuff in that window and different stuff in another.

If you have over 100 tabs open, I have some theories. You don't like to use bookmarks, you leave pages you don't use open, you are looking at a site that keeps advertising similar sites and are continuously opening a new set of tabs.

Regular usage of the net doesn't with 100 tabs? Internet entrepreneur of some sort?
