The popular herbicide atrazine (2nd most used in the world) that's made by a company called syngenta was banned in the EU a while back and now there is talk about banning it in the United States as well. Atrazine has been implicated in chemical castration in male animals across several species and is believed to be responsible for reduced fertility rates among people who work with the chemical. Apparently some people say there's a link to breast cancer as well.
What's particularly jarring about it is that the brunt of the negative effects have fallen on fellow workers, particularly low wage agricultural workers and rural people who live in under-served areas. Anyway here's the background, it's another depressing example of how the working class bears the brunt of a major public health and environmental problem:
