I wonder if Prince was actually inspired by the activities of David Stirling. His activities have many parallels with those of Prince, including mercenary work in the Middle East, such as the gulf states and Libya. He was known for his insane anti-communism, nationalism and had some strange fascist plans in the mid 1970's for an possible overthrow of the UK government to thwart "union influences" (and also founded an early PMC).
