How can a trip take 2 hours by car and 1 by train? Either the Dutch have an exemplary rail network or an appalling road network.

Anyway, considering that he isn't from Amsterdam, he's probably willing to meet up while he's 'in the area. Or maybe he wants to go around Amsterdam with a friendly guide. And get stoned.
