We at the New Fury Collective (NFC) are proposing an Anti-Authoritarian/Anarchist demonstration at the Phoenix Capitol Building this May 1st at 2:30 PM in response to the police state bill SB 1070.
The struggle and political situation
We at the NFC see this as a continuum of white supremacy within this state, from ICE raids in our hoods, to Arpaio’s gulag “prison”, to the militarization of the border. Fascism is coming to this State under the guise of fighting “illegal immigration”, evident when the bill itself was written by NSM lover Pearce. Our struggle is not separate from the immigrants and Indigenous of this land, we only wish for people to stop waiting for a social movement, or a huge protest every few months as we saw back in January 16th where many of our comrades were attacked by the Phoenix PD for zero reason, and on top of that to be denounced as an outside faction! We are living in a State that will oppress, arrest, jail and deport you based on your race; to go on waiting is insanity. Waiting allows the bastards to continue with their system of proto-fascism, and lastly invite those opportunists who will compromise given the chance at power claiming to be for the “immigrants”.
Free movement for all is completely diminished with the open implementation of this law and enforced to a greater degree, we cannot allow the state to continue to increase their power over the people; determining our movements clearly demonstrates the position we have been rendered to, subjects to be appropriated forcefully without justification. Our common struggles in Arizona have been on the very principle of eliminating State power restrictions on movement, but to take into recognition the limitations and inefficiencies of current organizations is necessary as it is continually disregarded; our protests and demonstrations have resulted in utter failures, then glorified with the illusion of successes against what has defeated us, the forces of State power; the police. We need to get organized, not grouping together to merely be permitted by the States forces of maintaining order to beg, be beaten and slandered upon afterwords. The question arises, what principles or forms will this be based upon? Will it resemble the very structures of authoritarian organizations? Clearly it would be impotent for us to organize on such a basis, to achieve free movement our own movements should not consistently allow to be maneuvered and directed by the force of the police, in city areas to be managed and subjected to the order of submission. We can begin to counter these measures of operations for control by applying principles for effective action.
Prevent the advancement of the police upon us; defense and protection of those outnumbered with aggression at vulnerable moments are required, solidarity extended to create firm barriers and cooperation the police will not diminish for our progression and advancing upon them. Liberate areas we organize on from the attempts of domination of the police maintaining order by submission and repression.
