He completed a course of politic studies at the KOMSOMOL (USSR) superior school in the years 1982-1983. He successively became the secretary of the Executive Comission of the Local Committee at the Central University of Venezuela, of the Regional Committee of the Capital District and of the Central Council of the Communist Youth. He got outside the Communist Party of Venezuela at its 7th Congress and started to participate in revolutionary patriotic movements.
