It's funny and depressing. I don't want the world thinking that most Americans think like him....wait, a lot of them do though.

I've tried watching him a few times. I never make it very far before I start swearing at the TV though.

I know, right? I don't even believe in Jesus or God & all that shit, but when he started going on his anti-socialist rants & claimed that Jesus never believed in social justice & didn't want to end the barrier between the rich & the poor, I just wanted to pick up the tv & throw it out the window. Though, it's a big tv & I got it for free, so no destroying it just yet

Lol. Yeah, I'd hold onto that TV. And I can't stand the Mao shirt that says "This T-shirt killed 70 million people." That's where I drew the line and vowed never to watch that jackass again.

He's actually in an East Germany outfit. Spends half of the first chapter, (In Defense Of Capitalism), attacking Socialist countries like FRANCE and SWEDEN. My friend bought it for me, as a joke.

I watched him when I was on holiday. It's kinda scary people agree with him and that he gets his own TV to talk about rubbish. It was the only time I was glad American TV has so many fucking adverts:lol:

When you watch him on his show you have to wait for the really funny shit, I find that Youtube is far better:cool:

France and Sweden are socialist countries now?

LOL. This man is an utter joke.

The funniest thing I have ever seen him say was when he was debating the head of the Socialist Party USA, and Beck said something akin to "these countries have socialized medicine, it has the world 'social' in it, so duh they're socialist".

There really aren't words in our language that can completely describe Glenn Beck. I'm going to leave it at that.

Hey sunfarstar, do you read maoflag.net?

I was looking at them the other day through a search engine translator and they got some pretty awesome stuff up there.

My favourite video of him on youtube was when he was crying in bed.
Kinda put a blemish on the whole macho Americano bullshit.
But ya in summary lets hope death finds him soon.

I don't really believe in a fixed moral "good".

Or "evil", but if I did, Glenn Beck would be it.

The best thing about it is that during it he was complaining about the state of health care in America after he spent time in a hospital. That was when he was still at CNN though. A couple of months later, once he moved to Fox, all of a sudden the US had the best health care in the world.

We need a t-shirt that says "T-shirts don't kill people. Teabaggers with guns kill people."

Those words don't completely do him justice. And I think the reason for the 'is a communist' searches is because we all suspect him to be a leftist troll. I personally hope he is.

The more he rants about communism, the more people get curious, the more people research, and potentially more people come to our side.

Maybe this is Poppa Marx's idea of a prank on us all...

Well, he did say that first comes tragedy, then comes farce.
Tragedy: McCarthy witch hunts
Farce: Glenn Beck's loony ranting

Didn't Bush in a speech to the Manhattan Institute say that if you seek "social justice" then capitalism is the way to go?

Wonder what Beck has to say about that?

I don't know if I'd feel comfortable purchasing a book by Glenn Beck or watching his program. While we might assume we aren't influenced by programming or advertising, we often are. I don't want to support Beck if I can avoid it. Even if it's funny in a certain light, I try to ignore Beck.

At some level, it's useful to "know your enemy," but Beck isn't good at arguing. Most fifth graders I know could refute his arguments. I think it's a waste of time to deal with people like Beck and legitimize them in a certain way. Then again, I also see the arguments for strongly mocking Beck and anyone who believes in him. It's kind of like a Gould vs Dawkins approach to religion issue.

I use humor to deal with Beck and other idiots all the time, but I think it's important to recognize that it is a coping mechanism. The existence of people saying the things he does with the influence he does is unacceptable.
