What is happening in Pakistan?
I know very little about it.
So Obama invaded right? What were the given reasons? to combat terrorism?
And what were the real specific reasons in your opinion?
Main issues.

Thanks very much :)

pakistan has not been officially invaded. but its sovereignty has been severely violated.

basically what happened is sometime around 2007/8(at least thats when i remember it first being reported) the us started flying drones over northern pakistan and targeting the taliban and other fighters(while killing civilians and so on). there have been a few cross border raids by US special forces and apparently regular army units have gone a few miles into pakistani territory as well.

as for a full on invasion, no.

the reason for this is the US's interests in afghanistan. i dont know if there is any tie between the US and the indo-pakistani conflict/tensions but its, at least at face value, an attempt to fight terrorism in other countries where the taliban and other organizations recruit, train and use as a home.

the american war for empire has lead to the violation of many nations' sovereignty.

EDIT: forgot to add, sometime last year the pakistani army decided to take control of the northern provinces to help themselves and the US. the taliban is a threat to both countries. i remember there being a report of an attack on a pakistani nuclear weapons facility sometime ago by the taliban
