Greetings, RevLeft. Before too long ago, I wasn't too interested politics; however, after recently taking an American Government class at school, my interest has been sparked. While the class mainly focused on America being everyone's superior and capitalism being the only answer, my hunger for knowledge wasn't really quenched with just that. I wanted to know why we were so much "better" than everyone, and after looking up other styles of governments and ways of life, I started breaking away from the uniform, Right-Winged doctrines that I was being told were infallible. And although independent studies makes for a nice way to use spare time, I am not always able to find out answers to certain questions that I have on specific situations. So in an attempts to further my knowledge, I stumbled upon this site. I try to look at everything with open-mind and enjoy hearing everyone's opinion. I hope you guys will be able to answer my questions and help me further develop the ways that I see government should/should not play in society. However, just because I come here to learn doesn't mean that I won't try to help teach from time to time. I look forward to being part of this community, and I hope that years from now, I will remember this as being a major turning point that positively affected the ideals that I live by. My apologies for the long intro, but I assume that if you've read this far, you probably don't mind.
