I read it to see what all the fuss was about after Glenn Beck's infamous rant about the book on his show. Although the language it used was striking and the authors had an impassioned turn of phrase, as a tool for organizing, it seemed to me to be rather useless. Indeed, the text was full of the usual mistrust of formal organization to be found on the outer fringes of the Left that falls foul of the critique of these ideas found in The Tyranny of Structurelessness.

yeah. we have a discussion group set up on here to discuss the invisible committee and their fellow travelers here (http://www.revleft.com/vb/group.php?groupid=307).

i think a book detailing a number of problems with modern capitalism and then offering their ideas on how to get organized and solve those problems would qualify as "political."
