Just seen this on another forum
In light of the recent attempts from our employers to oust Trade union conveners & shop stewards and to break down the trade union structure in our workplace, the result of today's meeting is this:
On Tuesday, 27th of April there will be a protest outside the City Building (LLP) main office at Darnick street at 7:30am. All workers are encouraged to attend and remain outside the office until we get answers as to why our terms & conditions which are clearly stated in our contracts are being changed against our own will on a comply-or-die basis. The shit is hitting the fan big-time in our workplace and things will only get worse unless we stand by our union conveners who have also been mistreated by the company and have had their terms & conditions changed against their will. Things will be explained in much
greater detail by union reps/shop stewards on Monday morning in every yard, there is just too much to be said and I would be here all night typing it up.
City Building is owned by Willie Docherty whose wife is Sadie Docherty, Labour councillor in the south side of Glasgow. Some more info for you there :)
