In my opinion, someone wearing this shirt would be more supportive of Castro and Che than someone wearing a Che shirt. Either that or the ultimate gusano.
By the way, if you didn't know, the guy in the picture is Fulgencio Batista.

It's dissapointing to see an anti-Che message on this site (above) ... I'm not sure if there was ever an individual who actually lived the ideas of this site (rather than merely pontificating on them) more than him.

Blah, I doubt Che wanted a pervasive cult of personality around him...and if he did than he's an asshole.

So the only 2 options are "personality cult" or shirt depicting him getting his eye ball punched through the back of his head?

You mean a famous individual?

I don't know Spanish, but does that say "Long live the restoration of capitalism"?

"famous" is certainly one adjective used, but more common is "admired", "respected" etc - at least by most on the revolutionary left.

Ever thought that this image of Ernesto is there because he died young?
We don't see pictures of a young Lenin, Trotsky, Marx, Liebknecht or Engels because the image we most remember them by is of that when they reached their Zenith.
Even The Moustache is remembered by his image of a rather old iron fisted man, not as the young clergy boy of Georgia
So to be clear : if Che lived for another 10 years i doubt there would be ever that image which is now brutally raped by the western culture.

You make it sound like he died of malaria ... and not that he was executed by CIA trained Bolivian goons while leading a battle against the agents of US Imperialism. Odd's which near the end pitched his 25 or so men against 1,800 Bolivivan rangers.
How he "died" is also part of his mystique and has earned him admiration.

It's based on Che's slogan "hasta la victoria siempre" which literally means "until victory always." It means something like always work towards victory. So the slogan on the Batista shirt means something like always work towards the restoration of capitalism.

False dichotomy.
What I mean to say about Che is:
"Who cares" "Why should we care about an image?"

No I say that because he died young that image is being raped by the west.
If Ernesto lived on for another 30 years that image would not be so iconic as it now is.
And we all know here that Klaus Barbie co-operated in the Death of Ernesto.

I think Che Guevara in a business suite and pretending to be a forex broker would be hilarious. How would that look on a shirt? Oh yeah...that's the epitome of revolution right there. ;)
