Greetings from a soldier

Hello all, I am originally from NYC but now i'm practically all over the place. I have no concrete alignment with any particular leftist branch(didn't realize how many groups there were), but will hopefully find something that suits me. As for how i became a leftist, that can't be answer for the simple fact that i think i've always been a leftist. My current situation has put me at odds with many of my beliefs but has also taught me alot about humanity in its grittiest occupation. Out of curiosity, are there any fellow soldiers or former soldiers on here?

Have you spoken with anyone in Iraq Veterans Against the War? Even if you weren't in Iraq I'm sure that might be a good place to start to meet other political soldiers and vets.

I haven't, but I should as soon as i get back to the states. I have been talking to many around here about their opinion about this war and how they feel being here first hand, and even some of the most hard-lined pro-war guys are wavering a bit. It's a sad situation over here. I'm wondering how do the members of revleft feel about leftist guerrilla/rebel groups that actually fight their respective goverment?
