I would put this in the movies section of this forum, but I feel this has more political significance because it's political conflict of trying to increase propaganda against the Maoists, who of which have majority support, nonetheless, in Nepal. Let me know what you think of the trailer for a Anti-Maoist documentary coming up:

Wow, just wow. It's amazing the lengths certain people will go to slander the Maoists. Even just from watching that trailer, it's obvious that the Party has the majority on its side, and yet the trailer tries to brand them as terrorists? It's kinda funny, actually.

After years of promoting class-consciousness, women's rights, and proletarian/peasant rule, I'd say the Maoists have their revolution nearly spot on. It really is a shame you have people out there that just can't handle progress or change.

I also loved how it slapped on the "15,000" died during the armed conflict. We all know where a great amount of that came from, & that's not even mentioning the killings of landlords who exploited the peasants, or those that harmed their own family. But of course, those are the "innocent" people right? Plus, I would love for the documentary to give out the death toll statistics BEFORE the armed conflict began. My money goes to that it'll be much higher.

Is there anyway we can try & refute the lies being made in this documentary? Once it comes out, I'm positive I can get my hands on a copy for sure & release it here. But this is an important even, & documentaries like this only leads to oppositional statuses against the Maoists, & as supporters of the Maoists we must help out as best as we can. In which, refuting the lies made on this documentary, whether through an article or a people's documentary, would be the best choice we could make. Suggestions?

I hold that it is bad as far as we are concerned if a person, a political party, an army or a school is not attacked by the enemy, for in that case it would definitely mean that we have sunk to the level of the enemy. It is good if we are attacked by the enemy, since it proves that we have drawn a clear line of demarcation between the enemy and ourselves. It is still better if the enemy attacks us wildly and paints us as utterly black and without a single virtue; it demonstrates that we have not only drawn a clear line of demarcation between the enemy and ourselves but achieved a great deal in our work.

This kind of propaganda keeps me confirmed that the UCPN(M) is still revolutionary.

I am eagerly waiting for the film that Prachanda promised.

That slogan was great:

Durbar bhitra chor hi chor !
Gyane chor desh chhor !

( The palace is full of thieves !
Thief Gyane (Gyanendra ), leave the country ! )

Well, before Sir Comradical re-edited his comment, I do wonder where exactly the documentary is getting at by showing claims that a Monarchy is the best choice for the people & that it's a travesty to see it crumble down by the people.

I foresee Glenn Beck giving this film a blowjob.

Goddamn reactionaries.

Wow. Love the images. "Their country has been ravaged" by the Maoists and all they can show is a few burning tires? Fail, they didn't even show a dead body.

Are there any Marxist-Leninists in this forum who support what this documentary entails? Or better yet, are there any Marxist-Leninists who support the Nepalese Marxist-Leninists?

Jeez, that's an anti-maoist documentary? I mean, I found the footage they used inspiring and supportive of the maoists. I guess it's the eye of the beholder and all that jazz.

That's exactly what I'm thinking, half the footage is of huge crowds of Maoists and speeches.

The only person I've ever seen not support the comrades in Nepal was an anarchist(For obvious reasons) and people from the RCP. That part kind of confused me but I don't pay much attention to them so I don't know why they wouldn't.

Once the documentary comes up I'll definitely post it up here. Even if it's a profit-documentary (meaning I have to pay for it to get it) I can easily get it for free & show it here. So, we'll see what their true arguments are when it comes out.
