View Full Version : My Letter to Glenn Beck

So I want to send Glenn Beck an email. Chances are he won't read it, and I'll be another drop in the ocean. However, I think I'm going to do it anyway.

Here's what I have so far:

Hey Glenn,

I just started watching your show. I really enjoy your commentaries on communism and socialism. Well, not really your commentaries. I really actually hate you and everything you stand for...BUT (and there's a big but here) you are the only person in the mainstream news that is even talking about people like the CPUSA, the Monthly Review, ANSWER USA, The Coming Insurrection and the Invisible Committee etc.

Here's how I see it. The more you run your stupid mouth about these crazy "radicals", the more informed I am, sort of, in a reverse way. Even when you trash these people, I'm thinking, I think I'll go to that website, read that book, support that movement. So you see, you are actually helping the movement in your own stupid, infantile way.

So I guess I'm thanking you. Because do you really think the bourgeois liberals at msnbc or cnn are actually going to mention these people? HELL NO! People might wake up to their phony liberalism and start to actually realize that there's no saving this system. In other words, they'll wake up to the fact that it's not a good system that's managed corruptly. In reality, it's a corrupt system that's actually managed quite efficiently. Can you imagine if people actually realized this?

Glenn Beck, you're actually doing more help for the movement than you realize. Please keep it up. And more communist/socialist stuff, please! (Also, have you considered talking about Anarchism. You might want to start with the godfather of modern anarcho-syndicalism, one Mr. Noam Chomsky).

Thanks,
A Godless Communist.Any thoughts or comments are appreciated, unless they involve the futility of this endeavor, which I have already commented on, so they're really not necessary.

instead of chomsky, talk about Rudolf Rocker.

also, make it sound less childish in your insults. he might put it up to discredit you for sounding infantile yourself. no offense but saying stupid is pretty low.

other than that. send it in i guess. just please, for the love of marx, say is in a bit more of an intelligent way.

I see your point. I just really hate the guy. But I will edit it to sound less childish and condescending.

But let's just say I did want to sort of take a jab at him. How exactly do you suggest I go about it?

well, you could show your disdain for him in a more eloquent way. im not saying dont show it. he shows he hates communists, so we act the same in return.

maybe point out his ridiculous connections between things, like for instance, National Socialism and Bolshevism are similar. which is utterly BULLSHIT.
just let him know that.

the american party of labor had a decent article on his "documentary"that tries to equat National Soclaism(Nazism) with Bolshevism(Marxism-Leninism).

I really don't see the point. It's like trolling stormfront - sure you might feel better but it's far from effective.

I think the letter, and especially:

I hate you and everything you stand for

bourgeois liberals

the godfather of modern anarcho-syndicalism, mr Noam Chomsky

goes far to continue the stereotype of the left as a bunch of 'fight the power' nutcases. If a conservative was to write to you and talk of 'hating you and everything you stand for' how would you react?

Waste of a stamp

It'll be interesting if you send it and it's actually referred to in the show.

Although as a few have mentioned, you have to edit it so you don't seem to have "stepped to his levels" and resort to insults and such.

Plus, personally, I would not make a reference to Noam Chomsky...he's not the best thing representative of anarchism although perhaps the most known in the U.S.

Also, denigrate the liberals just so maybe he'll finally get it in his head that liberals/democrats are not the same as us and we dislike 'about equal' (although you have to admit the U.S. right is full of crazies) to our dislike for conservatives/republicans.

However, it may just end up to be a waste of time but if it actually comes on the show than I guess it'll be something. However, perhaps we are all running into the assumption that he actually believes in what he says...I mean there're articles out there that explain how socialists (members of SPUSA or such) do not support the Obama administration/etc and are cynical of the current health care reform plan. Maybe he has read them.

Absolutely, I wanted to quote this to put special emphasis on my agreement.

I think it's more likely he'll use your letter on his show if you send it on behalf of an organization... I'm sure he gets plenty of rants from disaffected individuals 24-7.

In fact, I would have to talk to some of the administrators on this site, they might not appreciate it.

Feck sake, don't put "Godless" there, the atheist-communist association has caused much pain in the US, let's not add to the problem...

I hope the admins don't think that being mentioned on the show is a bad thing...lol

Maybe it'll increase the amount of people who visit? (although maybe they mostly be trolls.)
