What are some good ones? I know Manufacturing Consent is a popular one, but I think it's kind of outdated (though much of its analysis still rings true, I think).

I recently checked out Guardians of Power: The Myth of the Liberal Media by David Edwards and David Cromwell of Medialens fame, as well as The Political Economy of Media by Robert McChesney, who writes for Monthly Review. I haven't started either one yet, but I expect the second one to be more radical.

Anything else I should look at?

Manufacturing Consent isn't really outdated. The topics that it deals with still resonate in the hegemonies that exist now. I would highly recommend that as a starting point, or even an earlier Edward S. Herman & Noam Chomsky book, The Washington Connection and Third World Fascism. While that latter is not entirely about media, it uses similar approaches as Manfacturing Consent.
If you're really ambitious you could delve into some important (leftist, of which most are) Cultural Studies figures like Jean Baudrillard. However, his focus is more on advertisements and consumer society in general, but it is still relevent to your area of interest.
