Photocatalyst technology

I am in Shanghai, China to find a good company, he used photocatalyst technology manufacturing ceramics and textiles. My trouble understanding the theory, there are comrades can explain it?

If I'm reading it right: reactant + light + catalyst in some kind of reactor. In this case it looks like the company is giving the tiles a light gloss of TiO2, which is a really nice ceramic compound but thats beside the point. :D
