WARNING: Lots of anti-religion
So I was walking through the mall and I happen to be something that I would rather not discuss or post on here. So please, let us not get into it. So anyway, walking through the mall, a friend and I had to sit and all of the sudden, someone comes to us and asks us if we want a million dollars and forcefully hands them to us.
Before I go on, I would like to note, I am very pro-nonreligion, by the way, especially when people shove theirs down my throat or any of my friend's throats for that matter, especially when it goes against everything they, and myself, stand for.
The first thing they ask you is if you're going to heaven or hell, and then they keep making you believe that you're a thief, a liar, and some other nonsense. I played along with it, and they went way too far and started to "Politely" insult me.
My exact word: "To you and all of your "missionaries" pushing your religion unto us people not fitting to your "society", please fuck off, respect our choices, stop pushing us and trying to brainwash us to be part of your intolerant religion.
You are no better than the pigs of intolerance that exist the world we live in now, go get help and quit treating minorities or people outside of your intolerant society like their filth and as if they are the lowest form of this planet."
And they were just flabbergasted at how forward and all the many words I have used and finally left us alone.
Has this happened to anyone? I am sure it has, it gets old, and it gets old fast. Someday I hope these missionaries leave respected countries and just go home and leave their religion to their churches and keep them away from everyday people. No one wants to have a bunch of intolerant people shove false ideas (I find them false, anyway) down their throats.
I did not know where to post this so I put it in chit-chat. It's a rant, I am not expecting everyone else to agree with me here, but this "conversion" race is getting old, and fast, and highly annoying as well.
You were handed a million dollars? Wut?

It was a fake million dollar bill with some religious nonsense on the back of it.

Oh lol.
Couldn't you just say "well, where can I collect the money, but leave the crap?" ;)

Christianity.

I wish I could have ;) But as I stated, they shoved it in my hand and didn't even give me a choice to say yes or no, then started to flood me with all the questions. They were even trying to get a camera in so they could put me in youtube but it caused attention within the mall so they put it away, thank goodness. As if my business has anything to do with youtube in the first place.

I wasn't aware they do that. Sounded like Falun Gong though.

It really does, doesn't it? Christianity has a history of doing this through missionaries. It's actually converted alot of people and has made them do the same thing as well. (Trying to force friends and other people to convert as well)
Religion has nothing to do with life, workers, equality, or anything, which is why I think it should disappear, of course, this probably won't happen.
But I guess it seems as if Falun Gong and Christianity has alot in common as far as that structure goes.

In certain areas of the U.S. it's not unlikely for there to be missionary types hanging about. Plus not surprising they would do stuff like this.
Although never really had much of these experiences besides being given free new testaments by gideons...perhaps its because I tend to avoid anyone I perceive to be a missionary like if they had the plague.

I live in a very poor area, so the only "missionaries" I encounter are poor, extremely humble people passing out little two-page fliers written in Spanish. They usually just hand me the pamphlet, say "que dios lo bendiga" ("may god bless you"), and leave me alone.
Well, every now and then some Mormons will come a-knockin', but they're usually polite and will leave if you ask them to.
So yeah, I've not had need to get confrontational with religious people outside of my family.

You are a very lucky one, my friend. Everyone who does that here will not leave you alone and will keep doing so until you give in, or severely make them angry or leave.
It's like that in many areas of the US, if you search for StoneThePriest on Youtube, there's a bunch of videos of this man doing exactly what these two ladies did to me. They even confronted a fellow communist supporter and told them that the equality of wealth they would make is the money of sin.
It made me have some serious laughs.

Over here, the Jahova's Witness and the Falun Gong give me the worst headache.
The Jahova's Witness simply won't take no for an answer. They always come back in a few weeks one way or another. They've tried passing on the Watchtower as various things, like water purification info, and my family and I were fooled the first two times.
Then the FLG...Their newspapers the Epoch Times is everywhere. Even though no Chinese person I've ever met reads it. Reading Epoch Times in publicis a sure sign of mental retardation in my community, but their newspaper stacks are EVERYWHERE, even at Queen's University, Kingston Ontario.
Where the fuck do they get all that money, is what I'm wondering.

I got a million dollar bill once. Needless to say I left the restaurant without paying and fled the country. This is why I'm not allowed back in the united states.

I think Jack Chick makes those. I've never been handed one, but I think I saw them on his website once.

God I hate the Falun Gong. All these hippie left-liberals try to defend them because they are cracked down on in China, but do they realize what a load of shit they are?
I'm sure lots of their money comes from various donors and benefactors, as well as crooked schemes that their leader carries out. I'm surprised that they actually have newspaper boxes.
Maybe not on the east coast, but over here in BC I've seen quite a few people read the Epoch Times.
They claim to have powers that they generate through meditation and charging their qi or whatever. BUT the religion prohibits them from demonstrating such powers. That's like if I just said "I can take my head off and live, but I don't want to scare you so I won't do it."
And they're racist too, since they believe paradise is segregated into races, people shouldn't have interracial relationships and stuff.

Funny how on teh intarwebz people rant about Scientology but worship the Falun Gong in the forefront against PRC oppression, not aknowledging the fact that its a racist homophobic selfmutalating psychocult and pyramidscheme maybe worse then scientology.

Sick of Jehovah's Witnesses are you? Answer the door with a (deactivated) automatic weapon while wearing a keffiyeh and yelling 'PRAISED BE ALLAH'. Ten bucks says you won't have any more problems.

I once had a couple of evangelicals hand me a copy of Charles Darwin's "Origin of the Species"...which, in its special-edition 150th anniversary incarnation, included an introduction by Ray Comfort (http://friendlyatheist.com/2009/09/18/ray-comfort-tries-to-sneak-creationism-into-on-the-origin-of-species/). I smiled and thanked them, brought the book back to my dorm room, and went to work with my scissors. A few minutes later, I had a free copy of Darwin's "Origin of the Species"!
Aren't creationists nice?
