I sent a question to Devrim asking why the man in his avatar was holding a hammer, this is his response:

The first is the symbol of the ICC, the organisation of which I am a member. It was a logo used by the 3rd International after WWI. I think we use it today because obviously all workers are big men with hammers.:blushing:

The second is the symbol of the Turkish organisation I was a member of EKS before we merged with the ICC. I use it because it is pretty distinctive and I think people recognise it, so mostly for continuities sake.

Oh and because I have a fetish about big men with hammers. :)
