Hi, I'm the_owa (it dosen't stand for anything...yet). I'm from a shitty little town in the South-East of England known as Slough. I'm a socialist and the leftist scene here probably only consists of myself and NoXion (then again thats not surprising considering this town is Liarbour (sorry Labour) stronghold).
I came to Socialism through the route of having been in the British Army and seeing friends killed in a war that was not over politics but over oil and religion.I also became a socialist after realising that like the great monolith that is the USA we have a two party system with two different flavours of Right-wing war-monger's and it saddens me to think that this should be the case.

Anyway, Hello and I look forward to debating and talking with you all.

never been to slough, but ive passed through a few times on the train. i always read it as sloth and laugh a little (sorry)

its nice to see someone who was in the army come to socialist conclusions. i just dropped out of a cadet course and all these young lads couldn't wait to go to afghan. tragic.
