If only the pre-WWI SPD produced a little red book with the Erfurt Program and the official commentary by Karl Kautsky:

The extraordinary United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) congress continues meeting to set up its internal structure, statutes, rules and principles to beat the deadline of bicentenary celebrations on April 19.
One of the more revealing conclusions of the latest sessions is that the party will produce a little red book for militants.
Party vice president, Rodrigo Cabezas said the book will contain party statutes and outline characteristics a militant should possess and strive after. The book will be the same size as the tiny Bolivarian Constitution which President Chavez always carries around with him. That little book has a blue cover.
Unlike Mao's famous little red book for the revolutionary guards in the 1960s, the Chavist book will not be based on President Chavez' speeches and thoughts ... but contains a "theoretical arsenal" and will be called the "Socialist Red Book" ... it will include such key elements as the PSUV declaration of principles, programmatic bases and ideological tools.
During a press conference announcing advances of the congress, Cabezas confirmed PSUV support for its retiring honorary vice president, General (ret.) Alberto Muller Rojas whom he defines as the party's "moral reserve," critical but who has never jumped the fence to embrace the Right.
President Chavez has announced that the party's internal campaign to choose its candidates for the parliamentary elections in September 26 will start this coming Friday.
The campaign will be austere, he promised, and based on ideas rather than personalities.
