7th April 2010, 23:36
Why has partnered his party with obvious far right parties, jesus they might as well be working with the BNP here if you look at some of the ones they are working with in europe?
What he thinks an over privilaged, toffee nosed **** like him really knows about the average man in the street?

If that's true then definitely ask this.

Embarass him subtly, ask him about Grayling's recent comments on homosexuals maybe or his background (ask him if he's ever been on the dole, if he's ever worked a day in his life, how many of his cabinet went to public schools, oxbridge, eton etc?). Politically attack him on the proposed tory cuts to public services, ask him why he is speaking in your school (presumably a state school) when the tories plan to cut education/public service funding massively...the teachers will enjoy that.

8th April 2010, 20:47
Yes, please do question him, but subtly. Get back to us on how it went. Also, take the piss out of his smooth and huge forehead. Ask him how he plans to deal with the economy, whilst simultaneously holding down conflicts in Afghanistan & Iraq, sucking up NHS and public money through parasitic PFIs and PPPs and continuing the development of the Trident nuclear program. How do the above benefit ordinary people? And ask why would you support and fund these whilst mercilessly ripping into public services? Also, ask why he would condone the Thatcher-initiated anti-trade union legislation. Something like that is probably adequate.

Thank you for your responses very helpful. I'll try and be subtle when I ask him about his background, I think it's too blatant to say your from Eton and you don't know anything about ordinary people.

I think it's probably something to do with my politics teacher being a complete tory bastard. I think it's quite disgusting that he's going to be in my school but what can you do?

Actually come to school with a whole list of RevLeft questions and record the answers he gives you.

I just noticed this post. The word "****" is a banned word on this forum, so can you please refrain from using it, please? Thanks.

You can
a. Ask him why there are rich people and poor people
b. Throw a shoe at him

You should ask him about all the blatant links the Tories have with various corporations (look at the members of their shadow cabinet and they'll openly list all their former jobs as executives and officials of various corporations and on the boards of companies, i know Osborne for one is big into hedge funds)

ask him what he meant when he said he "wants to set people free". Ask him WHAT HE MEANS by this. Or was it just a bunch of words that sounded nice on newsnight, you balloon faced Eton ****?
Actually a highly distressing thing happened to me yesterday when i read about the Tories proposed National Citizen Service..... i thought it was quite a nice idea but should be compulsory, not voluntary. I feel so dirty.
I hate the man.

Really? REALLY? Just two or three posts after I said that the c-word was banned, you use it in a thread? Congratulations, you've just won a verbal warning!

yeah, this. Still, im not going to argue the toss, got better things to worry about but i would like some proper clarification from the mods on acceptable and unacceptable words. I take it derogatory words related to sexual persuasion and race are banned as a matter of course, and also feminine swear words etc but what about stuff like, say, 'fucknut'? can i call David Cameron a fucknut?

You are obliged to call David Cameron a fucknut.
The policy we have on words is generally quite obvious. Words like fag, bint or pikie will get you infractions, nigger will probably get you banned outright unless there are some amazingly exceptional circumstances. The only one that isn't, at least to some people, is "****"; the policy exists because we're an international site and in some places [America] the word is used almost exclusively as a sexist slur. It's easier to simply ask our members not to use the word than deal with the big clusterfuck around it.
EDIT: I'm sure we used to have a list somewhere but I'm fucked if I can find the bloody thing.

Yeah, humour's good, but I'm actualy quite supprised with our comrades here for the rarity of serious questions you can ask. This is an excellent propaganda opportunity to expose the big holes in centralism and neo-liberalist policies. Don't miss the oportunity by asking something silly.
What I'd personaly ask him is that he's recently accused the Labour party of bieng too sympathetic to Trade Unions because they fund 25% of the Labour party's budget (The other 75% mainly coming from big buisness). The fact of the matter is that the Labour party has not repealed ANY of the Tory anti-union laws since they got into power and has listened to thier bigger party funders from big buisness. Now, seeing as though nearly 100% of the Tories' party funding comes from big buisness, won't that mean logically the the Tories plan to bend over backwards only for thier funders, just like they accused Labour of doing?
For the sake of humour I must say this though, be careful not to point at him when you're speaking. I hear he doesnt like that. ;)

This. I'm 100% serious, this is a fantastic idea. Socialist student hurls shoe! Have someone filming on their cell phone and try not to miss :)
Questions will achieve nothing. We all know he's a tory bastard, and we know the kind of answers he'll give. The guys a professional politician ffs he'll be able to worm his way out of any heat you try to put him under. But if you get up and throw your shoes at him, you'll be a hero forever :-)
