Hey guys. My name is Czad, and I'm from southeastern KY. (I know right?) I've been lurking this forum for the last couple of years or so, and I finally decided to join in the action. I used to be a libertarian but converted to Marxism after learning about it in my sociology class. I never knew what Communism really was, aside from what my teachers always told me. Once I learned the truth I realized there's no other way. I'm still learning, and that's really why I joined up here. I don't have a tendency yet, and I'm not sure if I even want one. I may just ascribe to a non sectarian independent type tendency... but I guess time will tell.
There is ZERO socialist activity in my area. I know maybe 2 people who would consider themselves socialists. As far as I know, the nearest party to me would be the Socialist Party USA branch in Memphis (about 500 miles away). I've always liked the idea of joining some party and starting my own branch around here though... but I'm not sure how good that would blow over. This is quite the conservative hotspot.
Anyway I just thought I'd introduce myself. Thanks for reading.
