I have always enjoyed, Stewart Hall's work, the talanted one, not the second rate Euro-communist intellectual, though at one point I was under the impression that they were the same person. Last night's '5 Live Football Daily' was given over to Stuart and his 'archive box' of favourite interviews, Shankly on his childhood, Best on alcohol, Ferguson on the jobs he could have taken, Dean on working as a postman, Gregg on Munich, Clough on retirement and and the England job, Revie on discipline, McCarthy not understanding what is going on, Warnock on Barbra Strissend, and Savage on sartorial elegance.
I really enjoyed it. You can down load it on iTunes and see who he describes as 'an iconoclast fed on Marx'.

Very good.
I especially thought the interview about Munich was extremely moving.

Yes, it was. I was quiet touched by that too.
