yes. historically there have been unions aligned with the three main labor socialist philosophies: social democracy, leninism, and syndicalism. at one time there were separate labor "internationals" for these three sections of socialism: the international confederation of trade unions, the red labor union international, and the international workers association.

but calling social democracy "democratic socialism" is tendentious because some of the other forms of socialism are also democratic. syndicalism also advocates a democratic form of socialism. In fact syndicalists would say that social democracy's "democracy" is fake because it is tied to the acceptance of continued existence of capitalism, which presupposes a complete autocracy over workers in work. the debate here is, do you really think you control what the state does just because you vote every few years for candidates? for the syndicalist, an authentic democracy means that workers directly control the industries where they work, and the masses control the society in general through some more authentic form of popular democracy.
