Haaretz reports today that the Zionist military will not continue to investigate the murder of Bassam Abu Rahme, anti-Apartheid wall protestor.

According to the spokesman, "due to the complexity of the event and the fact that legal entities outside the IDF have taken part in the investigation, it has taken a considerable amount of time to handle the investigation. The investigation shows that there was no direct shooting, as claimed, and no suspicion of criminal offense".

The Zionist military has recently been stepping up its persecution of protesters. Militants active in the struggle have been arrested or put in house arrest, and physical attacks on protesters are commonplace. The most serious cases recently are those of Abu Rahme and Tristen Andersen, who became a vegetable following a hit by a gas grenade.

Abu Rahme's murder was documented on 3 different cameras, all showing him hit by a gas grenade as other protesters attempted to approach the wall.
